About Apollo:

Apollo is a gentle and affectionate older gentleman who recently arrived in the UK from a shelter in Spain. He has experienced a significant amount of stress due to the transition and is still adjusting to his new life. Unfortunately, he is not getting along with his current adopter's other male dog, causing distress to both animals.

Apollo is a loving dog who craves attention and affection, he was rescued as a stray dog in Spain and cared for by Animals Help. Apollo is happily living alongside a cat in his new home.

Both in the shelter in Spain and during transport, Apollo has mixed well with both male and female dogs. On arrival to the UK Apollo has been selective around some other dogs, he is experiencing a big change and it can take weeks to months for a rescue dog to settle in their new home. Many rescue dogs are not used to living in a home or being walked on a lead.

Ideal Home:

• A calm and loving environment.

• Owners who are patient and understanding of his adjustment period (arrived in the UK on Saturday 12th of April 2025).

• Experience with livestock guardian breeds.

Important Notes:

• Apollo has been through a stressful transition.

• If you already have dogs meet and greets will be required (Cardiff)

• Transport to his new home can be arranged, a donation towards costs will be requested.
